St. Patrick’s Day in 5 Points with Rainbow Kitten Surprise, SondorBlue, and more!

Thousands upon thousands of people gathered in the streets of Five Points in Columbia, SC -wearing green, drinking beers and listening to good music to celebrate St. Patty’s day! The day was filled with races, parades, silent disco dance parties, a variety of bands, lots of good beer and of course the luck o’ the Irish. This year was the 36th annual St. Patty’s fest to take place in Five Points!

The festival kicked off early in the morning with a 5k race followed by a parade through the streets with local clubs, dance groups, firefighters and more!

The festival started off a dreary one with some slight rain, but the crowd was energized up when the live music began! There were five different stages around the area and there were always at least two bands playing, so you could be enjoying live music almost anywhere you were in the festival. The lineup was truly a great one, kicking off with Blocker at 11:30 and continuing all the way through 7pm, ending with Judah and the Lion on the main stages.

Every band that was there performed a great set! The crowds especially loved Jonny P., SondorBlue, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Susto and Judah & The Lion! From start to finish, the crowds were smiling and dancing along to these musician’s performances- even if they had never heard of them.
