Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival Is Back For 2020

Somewhere in Okeechobee county lies the wondrous 800-acres of land called the Sunshine Grove, home to Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival. After its 2019 hiatus following unforeseen circumstances, Insomniac has stepped in with a rebranding and the festival will be returning on March 5th to the 8th. The iconic four day camping festival has seen acts like the late Mac Miller, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Robert Plant, Snoop Dogg, Skrillex and many more since its 2016 inauguration.

The Future of Festivals Looks Bright: III Points 2019

Miami’s sixth III Points festival was three days of awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping performances from across the unique spectrum of their diverse visual and musical line-up. The Mana Wynwood Convention center hosted seven indoor and outdoor stages, each with their own creative quirks and distinct company, and a plethora of interactive installations, such as Max Cooper and Architecture Social Club’s Aether installation, and Nonotak’s entry portal into the festival. Unconventional spaces, such as the indoor “Skate Space” had patrons put their roller-skating skills to work, with a performance space in the middle that hosted artists like Keanu Orange and Suzi Analogue, and a tucked away, intimate space for DJ sets inspired by speakeasy’s called Door IV, were innovative choices that set III Points above and apart from many American festivals today.

On March 30th, Radiohead began their US Tour in Miami, Florida at the American Airlines arena. South Florida musicians came together on a special night to celebrate the influential Rock group. SoundBite Magazine hosted a Radiohead Kickoff Party on Wednesday, March 29th, at Churchill's Pub, the night before Radiohead’s concert. It means something to play a show in Detroit not just one of the many suburbs surrounding Detroit, but right in the home of Motown.  There's grit and electricity in this city that you can't find anywhere else.  When you play a show in Detroit even the suburban kids put on their Detroit faces. Detroit gave us the Bad Boys and the Grind Line, they like their music with an edge.  Bands that work hard get rewarded in Detroit. To borrow the cliché, if you can make it in Detroit you can make it anywhere.
