Top Five Must-See Artists at III Points 2019

Miami's III Points festival reps an unstoppable lineup year after year, hosting rarities and uber-popular artists alike. Here are the top five artists you should put on your radar for III Points 2019.

JAQUES GREENE

Montreal-born, Toronto-based Jaques Greene grew to international popularity in 2011 after the initial release of his “Another Girl” on the label Lucky Me. He’s remixed artists like Flume, Shlohmo, and Radiohead, and his atmospheric tracks draw influence from R&B, U.K. garage, and deep house, creating a near psychedelic hybrid of complex, progressive beats and dreamy synth and vocals.

YAEJI

Yaeji is a Brooklyn-based DJ and producer. She released her first single in 2016 on the label Godmode, and later grew to wide-spread popularity after the release of her single “Raingurl”, and her Boiler Room debut in 2017. Her tracks combine elements of hip-hop and house music with melodic Korean and English vocals.

DJ KOZE

German producer DJ Koze first broke into the music scene in 1988, competing in a mixing competition at the age of 16. In the 90’s, he was an MC and DJ at clubs around Germany, and a member of the German hip-hop act Fischmob. He started using the name DJ Koze in the early 2000’s and started his own label, Pampa, in 2009. He has since earned countless awards and praise for his funky hip-hop influenced club tracks.

BEACH HOUSE

Beach House is the ethereal, lo-fi love child of Victoria LeGrand and Alex Scally. Their dreamy tracks draw stark similarities to dream-pop veterans artists like Mazzy Star and Cocteau Twins. Beach House’s records have only gotten finer with age, as has their stunning live production.

JOHN MAUS

John Maus attended CalArts in 1998 for music composition, and grew an appreciation for experimental music, like Michael Pisaro, and in his early years, made acquaintances that would turn into long-term collaborators and friends Ariel Pink and Animal Collective’s Panda Bear. John Maus is known for his extremely emotional live performances and lo-fi, synth-pop sound.
