Cyndi Lauper to Join Rod Stewart on 2018 Summer Tour

Buckle up kids, and get ready for an adventure of a lifetime. Pairing up once again after their hit 2017 Summer Tour, Hall of Fame stars, Cyndi Lauper and Sir Rod Stewart are reigniting the genre of classic rock with a big bang and a lot of sequins. Kicking off their 23 date Summer Tour (June 25th - September 1st) the beloved duo will hit several iconic venues across the United States ranging from The Hollywood Bowl to Madison Square Garden. Lauper and Stewart will even make an appearance at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, ON.   

Local San Diegans will be especially pleased to welcome both musicians to their very own 20,500 seat Mattress Firm Amphitheatre on August 26.

Given the star lineup, there’s a lot for fans to look forward to as each artist boasts a resume that hits almost every box on the checklist of musical achievements. Between them, Lauper and Stewart hold Grammys, American Music Awards, Hall of Fame Inductions, Emmy and Tony Awards (Lauper), and even Knighthood (Stewart). Both ascended quickly to the realm of popular household names, and back in 1983, with hit songs such as, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”, Lauper became the first woman in history to have four top-five singles in a debut album.

Since their burst into stardom, each artist has gone on to produce more and more hits for fans to enjoy over their lengthy careers. Thus, those lucky enough to attend one of these coveted summer shows is likely to hear both a mix of classics and slightly newer material. In other words, they’re in for a timeless musical delight!
