Dave Hause and the Mermaid & Tiger Army Take Over Denver, Colorado

This week was yet another amazing week for music in Denver, Colorado. From The Living End, to Authority Zero, to Dave Hause and the Mermaid opening for Tiger Army, and Frank Turner opening for Jason Isbell, every single night was filled with music, and hard choices to make regarding what shows to attend. Dave House and Tiger Army are wrapping up a short US run, and played Denver at the lovely Gothic Theater in Englewood.

DAVE HAUSE AND THE MERMAID

We’ve said it before, and we will say it again, Dave Hause and the Mermaid are absolutely fantastic. With energy to spare, and a band that works together like a well oiled machine, they have been powering across the world this year following Dave’s release of Bury Me in Philly back in February. They’ve got a short break at home following this tour before heading back on the road, this time back to Europe.

TIGER ARMY

LA psychobilly rockers, Tiger Army, have been a staple in the scene since 1996, though front man Nick 13 comments that they are “kind of beyond genre at this point”. Going through several line up changes over the years, the one constant as been the lead singer/guitarist, and primary songwriter, Nick 13. With the upright bass magic brought by Djordje Stijepovic balancing Nick 13’s guitar, the dynamic on stage is explosive. While this current run has reached its conclusion, keep an eye on www.tigerarmy.com for upcoming tour dates throughout the fall!
