Gogol Bordello's Gypsy Punks and Dave Hause and the Mermaid dazzle audiences with colorful and raging performances

On August 25th 2017, Gogol Bordello released their new album, Seekers and Finders -- 11 tracks of new Gogol sound magic. On August 26th the band played a fantastic hometown show at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York. In a theater filled with old time charm, amazing acoustics, a ceiling light show that was stunning, and a crowd who couldn't get enough, the night was an absolute smash. You can find the record at a music store near you, or head to www.gogolbordello.com to pick up your copy.

DAVE HAUSE AND THE MERMAID

Starting off the night was Dave Hause and the Mermaid. Fresh off of what Dave said was their largest headlining show to date, in Asbury Park, NJ, Dave and the band were ready for the rowdy crowd in New York. With a slightly modified set from their New Jersey show, Dave and co had the night started off right, with energy to spare. With a full house, "Hause" if you will, the audience sang along to songs old and new. And we have to send out a huge congrats to Dave on his recent wedding! The band is heading out on a large US and UK/Euro tour, with US dates supporting Tiger Army coming up -- check www.davehause.com for updated tour schedules, and catch this group on the road.

GOGOL BORDELLO

Gogol Bordello shows are always amazingly high energy that keeps building until you think the roof might blow off. With their gypsy punk flair, technical and creative musical background, and engaging lyrics, an audience can't help but sing along, dance along, and create a musical experience that goes beyond merely watching a band play. Gogol front man Eugene Hutz has incredible energy and stamina, which served him well during this hometown show. Playing one of the longest sets I've seen recently, to sneaking into the audience to play a hugely long encore/second half, the music and dancing never stopped. Young fans and old(er) alike came together with a feeling of community that isn't often seen, sharing laughter, wonder, and some fancy swing dancing by a few audience members. Gogol Bordello has a string of European dates coming up this fall -- head over to www.gogolbordello.com to check out their upcoming tour dates, as well as take a moment to order their new record!
