Celebrating 10 Years of Desert Daze, Southern California's music festival features performances by Tame Impala, King Gizzard & Lizard Wizard, Iggy Pop, Sky Ferreira, and more!

 

Desert Daze, the West Coast’s psychedelic music festival, is celebrating ten years of art and music as the festival continues to curate an ideal festival experience in Southern California. Along with Desert Daze’s 10th anniversary, Tame Impala will be performing their album, ‘Lonerism,’ in its’ entirety as part their album anniversary. Music lovers travel from all over the world for the psychedelic concert experience of a lifetime. Desert Daze will be hosting a fun-filled three-day weekend with live music, visual art, and interactive exhibitions. The festival will feature live performances by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Sky Ferreira, Mild High Club, L.A. Witch, Small Black, Kikagaku Moyo, Los Retros, JJUUJJUU, Iggy Pop, Fuzz, POND, and more!

Desert Daze music festival will take place on September 30th to October 2nd in Lake Perris, California. Concertgoers can enjoy various activities from large-scale art installations, pop-up improv comedy shows, dj sets, a welcome party, and more! To cool off from the desert heat, festivalgoers can enjoy a dip in the lake or lay back on their floaties. For an outdoors experience in the natural beauty of California, attendees can stay the weekend and camp on-site.

Here is a sneak peak of several artists performing at Desert Daze music festival this Fall: Tame Impala, Automatic, Meatbodies, and King Gizard and the Lizard Wizard.

 

TAME IMPALA

For their Desert Daze 2022 performance, Tame Impala will be performing one of their iconic albums ‘Lonerism,’ from start to finish as part of their 10th album anniversary. Tame Impala have been on tour performing various dates in Europe and music festivals such as Electric Picnic and All Points East. Tame Impala debuted a new track, ‘New Gold, in collaboration with the Gorillaz album, ‘Cracker Island,’ release scheduled for September 2023. Also, Kevin Parker of Tame Impala has appeared at fashion shows in Europe and premiered his Los Angeles home in an Architectual digest. Desert Daze 2022 will be the return of Tame Impala as a headliner of the music festival since their 2018 Desert Daze performance. It has been a long-awaited return since their brief set four years ago, however, Tame Impala’s devoted fan base is eager and ready for their upcoming Desert Daze performance and the surprises they have in store for this year. AUTOMATIC

Post Punk Los Angeles group, Automatic will be performing on Sunday’s Desert Daze lineup. The band is composed of musicians: Izzy Glaudini on synthesizer, Halle Saxon on bass, and Lola Dompé on the drums. Automatic are quickly gaining a committed fanbase in the Los Angeles music scene as they perform shows throughout Southern California. The artists also have participated in a philanthropy event to help out their local Los Angeles community. Automatic have performed various music festivals from North Beach Boogie Festival in San Clemente, California and Cruel World Festival in Pasadena, California. Their new wave music embodies a Post Punk style with Eastern European musical experimentalism. They released their second album, ‘Excess’ early this Summer. MEATBODIES

If festivalgoers are ready to rage at the festival, they should be pumped for Meatbodies show as part of Thursday’s welcome party and introduction to Desert Daze. The Los Angeles artists project light-hearted on-stage energy and heavy Punk Rock sounds into their live sets. With pulsating riffs and heavy-handed strokes to their instruments, Meatbodies, overtake any audience by surprise with their musical sounds. KING GIZZARD AND THE LIZARD WIZARD

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have announced the release of their upcoming albums in October. King Gizz fans are on the edge of their seats in anticipation as the Australian artists tease with continuous releases to add to their extensive discography. Desert Daze festivalgoers are in for a treat as King Gizzard will most likely be debuting new music from their three new albums for the first time live during their festival performance which is another ideal reason to attend the concert. King Gizzard performed multiple tour dates earlier this year throughout Southern California. They performed a sold-out show at the Fox Theatre in Pomona, California.
