Endless & Splendid Beer Samplings

Beer connoisseurs attended Grovetoberfest, an impressive beer sampling event at Peacock Park. The event was hosted on Saturday, October 17th at Coconut Grove, Florida. This local craft beer event served a diverse selection of domestic and imported beers. Vendors offered an array of newly released, local, and acclaimed brand named beers. The well known brand names featured were Samuel Adams, Angry Orchard, Shock Top, and Blue Moon.

The participating breweries were BJ Brewery, Monk in the Trunk, Key West, Boulevard Brewery, Goose Island Beer Co., Barrel of Monks Brewery, Tap 42, Brewery Ommegang, Mahou, Brooklyn Brewery, and Hialeah Beer. Beer was dispensed from beer bottles, beer trucks with draft dispensers, and Kegs. Beer flavors included citrus, banana, grapefruit, and apple. Participants were able to fill their plastic cups with their favorite choices endlessly until the close of the event. They were also able to sample exclusive beers that would soon be added to their list of favorite beers.

Guests participated in Timed Tapping, which offered private access to specialty brews. Guests enjoyed appetizers and sampled beers from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Peacock Park in Coconut Grove. VIP Ticket holders enjoyed earlier access to the festival at 2:30 pm. They were treated to limited release beers only available at the Boulevard Brewing VIP Experience. Appetizers were offered continuously from Pincho Factory prepared on site. They served sliders, sweet potato taters, brisket filled croquettes, and friend green plantains topped with pulled pork. These unlimited appetizers were delicious and filling. These appetizers were a great compliment to the beer.

The Milam’s Kitchen Lab showcased award-winning South Florida chefs. They showed participants how to prepare food in a fusion style and also how to pair their meals with different beers. The guests eagerly listened and took note of the various cooking tips. The Bougainvillea's Music Stage featured live performances from local musicians. Also, various food vendors offered diverse food choices that included burgers and beer cupcakes.
