Californian locals celebrated the final days of Summer on Sunday in Los Angeles County. Stylish concertgoers flocked to Rainbow Rock festival in the early afternoon on Sunday, September 24th. Rainbow Rock was a two day festival that took place in Big Sur, California on Saturday and the second day in San Pedro, California. The festival was held at spacious venue and trendy brewery, Brouwerji West in San Pedro near the port of Long Beach and the iconic San Pedro Fish Market. The brewery is the ideal destination for a music event or to have a relaxing day. They offered various choices of food selection from pizza and ice cream food trucks and an ample local brewed beer selection. PEARL &THE OYSTERS
Pearl & the Oysters’ performance took place during the peak of a beautiful California sunset. The crowd danced and swayed to their groovy Pop tunes. Their latest album release, ‘Coast 2 Coast’, an album they released in 2023, represents this group who have traveled from France to Florida and now have a home base in Los Angeles, California. Their easy listening music combines soft melodies with fuzzy guitar reverb. Their retro music matched the vintage aesthetics of the audience. LEVITATION ROOM
Festival goers packed inside the brewery for Levitation Room’s live performance. Los Angeles band, Levitation Room, combine effortless and cool with their on-stage presence and music performance. Their Psychedelic Garage Rock music is riveting, grungy, and fun! Listening to Levitation Room will transport you back in time to Haight Ashbury and the Summer of Love. THE BABE RAINBOW
Australian Rockers, Babe Rainbow, performed the grand finale of Rainbow Rock festival. The lead singer was playful with the audience and crawled unto the stage when they began their set. They charmed the audience with their playful gestures and banter such as when they dedicated one of their tracks to the kola on their backdrop. They welcomed special guests throughout their set such as Los Angeles artist, Jaden Smith. They collaborated on a track, ‘Your Imagination’ which combines Babe Rainbow’s lulling and dreamy melodies with poetic narration by Smith. The band expressed their gratitude throughout the show and mentioned how happy they were to be doing what they love. The audience was wooed by their live performance as they grooved, raised their hands in the air, and sang along to their favorite tracks.
